I've only spent ½ an hour with it and I can't get it to do a couple of very basic things. If your choices take up more than one line, they are cut off. If you want to use the 'combo box' approach, good luck - it doesn't wrap around to show all of the possible selections. This is basic, rudimentary database stuff yet it's seemingly missing.Īlso, laying out your page is frustrating. If I wanted to list something as red, striped and small, I would need three different choice fields. Each of these only selects one item(!) There's no way to create a list of attributes and select a few from that list. My biggest problem is that there isn't a way to give something multiple values - in the 'choice' field, you can pick from radio buttons, a combo box (all categories shown so you can select one), and 'switch' a scroller used to select the appropriate value. I was very hopeful that someone finally put together a database that would just work, but while there are some advanced features for power users some very basic things are missing, making this thing absolutely useless. star star_border star_border star_border star_borderīleeny's Review of Ninox Database For Ipad Reviewed on 9/5/19 1:48 PM Bottom line - this is one of those apps that I would have to replace if I ever had to leave the apple environment. So very flexible environment to support your needs.

The Mac app supposedly synchs well with the ios versions, and there is a subscription - based team synch option. I also like that Ninox is a fully featured app regardless of which device - can create databases on your iphone, ipad, or Mac. A ton of functionality that I have yet to use (forms, graphing, and all the field types) despite using Ninox for well over a year now. Very easy to set up databases, easy back-up export to CSV/excel, and love the realtime icloud synch performance. I use Ninox to keep track of my medical bills, books I have read, and personal/house inventory on my ipad and phone. But I prefer a single database app that I can make my own and that can do multiple things. There are several apps out there that do a fine job of doing one or two things. My life is such that I need database(s) to keep track of it all.
